"To date I have found three of the 1d (S.G.114 ) which I call the "STAKE". variety as I have not heard or seen any reference elsewhere. On the island against the value tablet there is an upright black line suggesting a wooden post and the position is identical on all three copies. Although I have examined dozens of stamps of this issue for all the colonies which issued it I have only found it occur in one other - SEYCHELLES--S.G.129 which tends to prove that the variety is not confined to Jamaica and may be constant. I shall be very interested to know if any other members have found this variety on other values or on the Jubilee Issue for any other colony.
