"I feel there is little I can write about the stamps of GRENADA as `Mr. Alfred Charlton has covered most items but possibly some members might be interested in the following details of Postal Stationery of the reign of Queen Victoria in my collection:
Post Cards.
1881
One Penny - Blue-green. Size: 4-13/16"x3-7/16"
Penny-half penny - Brown Size as above.
(The stamp is similar to design of BERMUDA. SG.20)
1882
One Penny - Blue Size: 4-13/16"x3-7/16"
Penny-halfpenny - Reddish-brown as above.
(The stamp is similar in design of TURKS IS. SG.49)
1886
Halfpenny - Green Size: 4¾" x 2-15/16"
One Penny - Carmine Size 5½" x 3½"
Penny-halfpenny - Brown Size 5½" x 3½"
(The stamp is similar to -design of BARBADOS. SG.89)
NOTE: REPLY PAID CARDS also as above and all cards except the Halfpenny - Green bear the words "Union Postale Universelle"
Newspaper Wrappers.
1887
Half penny - Green,
One Penny - Carmine-red.
Penny-half penny - Reddish brown
Twopence - Dark Blue.
(The stamp is the same as for 1886. Post Cards).
Registered Envelopes.
1894
Twopence - Grey. Size: 5-3/16" x 31/4" Printed by De La Rue & Co.
Twopence - Blue-grey. Size: 5-15/16" x 3-7/8" Printed by M'Corquodale & Co. Ltd.
(The stamp is 1- 1/8" diameter circle, white embossed head in octagon and inscribed "Grenada Registration-Two Pence".)
The first two items appear to be very scarce and I have not seen either of them used.
